Deck and Fence Refinishing

Most decks are made of cedar or redwood.  These are woods that generally weather the elements better than most other wood.
To preserve them, you must maintain them.  It's best to let a new deck age a few months after it is built, to let the natural properties
dry out.  This allows the stain sealers that are applied the ability to penetrate deep into the wood for maximum protection.

New decking:  We first pressure wash to remove any dirt or debris.  We apply a wood cleaner brightener to the surface and then
pressure wash again.  After the appropriate drying time, a stain sealer is applied.

Old decking:  We pressure wash to remove any dirt or debris.  We apply a biodegradable stripping agent to remove any old stain
sealer to assure even penetration of the new sealer.  The wood cleaner brightener is applied to neutralize the stripping agent and
brighten the wood back to a natural looking state.  After the appropriate drying time, a stain sealer is applied.

Prepping correctly and applying a good quality stain sealer will give you the most life out of your decking.
